Jessica McManus, PSY.D.
Dr. McManus is a clinical psychologist who has been licensed in California since 2010. She specializes in the treatment of trauma and mood disorders and has dedicated her career to helping our active duty military, veterans, law enforcement, and civilians heal their psychological wounds through evidence based clinical practices.
Dr. McManus earned her masters and doctorate degrees from Alliant International University in clinical psychology. She completed her internships and postdoctoral studies and forensic and private practice clinics, conducting psychological and neuropsychological evaluations in forensic settings. Dr. McManus served as a PERT clinician with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, being partnered with especially trained law enforcement officer, responding to psychiatric crises throughout the county.
Most recently, Dr. McManus served as a civilian psychologist for the Department of the Navy from 2013-2022. She was selected as the first civilian Navy psychologist to lead a team of multidisciplinary mental health professionals embedded in Wounded Warrior Battalion, West. She served as the lead clinical psychologist, and over the course of almost a decade, she developed a program that has become the model for delivering high quality holistically driven mental health care for wounded, ill, and injured active duty Marines and Sailors. Dr. McManus’s expertise lies beyond her professional experience, as she is also the spouse of a law enforcement officer and retired combat Marine. Her knowledge and respect for the specific issues that affect this population inform her clinical work on a daily basis. She has received awards from the Wounded Warrior Battalion and Regimental Commanding Officers, and Admiral of Navy Medicine West for her consistent delivery of high-quality care to those in need. She has also been interviewed by PBS for their special on the hidden wounds of military service.
Dr. McManus is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).

Celia Gamboa-Wood, LCSW
Ms. Gamboa-Wood is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been providing therapy for over 18 years. She earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work (MSW) from East Carolina University and specializes in treatment of trauma, mood disorders and relationship issues. She has worked helping active duty military, veterans, college students, couples and civilians through challenging issues. She has received training in some of the most effective evidenced based treatment such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Gottman Method of Couples Therapy.
Ms. Gamboa-Wood is a mother of two and spouse of a retired Marine. Her personal experiences have helped her develop professionally and better connect with her clients. Her approach is non-judgmental while being challenging and direct. She is passionate about helping others develop their strengths and resilience and looks forward to assisting you in achieving your goals.
Ms. Gamboa-Wood is well versed in multi-cultural challenges that individuals of various backgrounds may face. She is able to conduct sessions in English and Spanish.
